Abbie Mae Bruenger

ABBIE MAE BRUENGER died May 29, 2009 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, ks at the age of 103. She was born on May 4, 1906 in Clay Center, Kansas the daughter of William Carpenter and Elizabeth Hostetler. She graduated from Clay Center High School in 1926. She taught in country schools for 8 years. She married Lawrence Bruenger on August 14, 1933. She made her home in Topeka for several years before returning to Clay Center. Lawrence preceded her in death on November 11, 1971. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center. She is also preceded by 3 brothers, Frank John and George and a sister Minnie Doberer. Survivors include: Nieces and Nephews Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 AM until 1:00 PM Memorials can be made to the church or to Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home.
