ALBERT “BUDDY LEE” LEET died August 8, 2009 at Lexington Nursing Home, Streamwood,
IL at the age of 91. He was born on January 17, 1918 in Boonville, Missouri the son of Frank
Leet and Mary Ettta Lee. He served in the US Army during WWII. He attended college and
worked as a musician in Denver before moving to Chicago. He married Della Putnam in 1951.
Buddy worked as a musician, playing guitar and banjo with several bands in the Chicago area.
In 1962 he toured Europe with the Harlem Globtrotters while playing for the Scobey Band. Della
preceded him in death in 2006.
Private burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
