Alfred was born December 15,1932 to Fred and Grace (Hull) Truax in Red Bird, Nebraska. He farmed before joining the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Alfred returned to farming before taking a job as John Deere mechanic in O’Neil, NE. In 1972, He moved to Wyoming and worked in uranium mines. In 1977, Alfred made his home in Fairfax, S.D. He worked for the local Farmer’s CO-OP and then owned and operated a restaurant. He moved to Weston, MO in 1994 and worked as a security guard for McCormick’s Distillery. Alfred moved to Miltonvale in 2004 following his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents.

15 Grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren

Funeral Services: Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale, KS
Burial: Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas
Visitation: 9:00 AM until service time, Friday, February 8 at Phelps Funeral Home
