Alfred Vellucci

ALFRED VELLUCCI died October 17, 2007 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 89. Alfred was born on March 9, 1918 in Providence, RI the son of Antimo Vellucci and Lucia Macedonio. He attendeed school in Providence, RI. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Fern Haden on May 20, 1944 in Clay Center, KS. He owned and operated Broughton Garagewhich was later named Al's Service. He also marketed petroleum products for Sinclair, Skelly and Getty Oil. He was part owner of Delta Pontoons until 1971. He retired in 1983. He attended the Countryside United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and two brothers. Survivors include: Wife: Fern Vellucci, Leonardville, KS Daughter: Theresa Johnson, Normal, IL Sister: Theresa Cascioli, Cranston, RI Sister: Antimina Lingo, Evansville, IN Grandchildren: 4 Grand and 5 Great Grand Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Countryside United Methodist Church in Clay County, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Diana Stewart. Burial will be at the Broughton Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to may be made to Countryside United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
