ALICE MAY CARLSON died May 6, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 91. She was born on January 6, 1917 in Sterling, KS the daughter of James Osenbaugh and Lena Mary Gorges. Alice grew up in the Sterling and Nickerson areas. She worked as a telephone operator in Plevna, KS. She married Harry Carlson on July 3, 1941. The couple lived in Wichita until 1949 when they moved to rural Clifton. They farmed all of their lives. She was a member of Branfort Covenant Church, Branfort Women's Ministries, Gideons and EHU. Harry preceded her in death on December 27, 2005. She is also preceded by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include: Son: Gary and wife Verlene Carlson, Clifton, KS Son: Dennis Carlson, Clifton, KS Son: Keith and wife Susan Carlson, Dassel, MN Grandchildren: 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Brantford Evangelical Covenant Church in Kansas. Officiating the service will be Reverend Russell Sizemore. Burial will be at the Brantford Evangelical Covenant Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas. Visitation will be held on will be from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home in Clifton. Memorials can be made to to the church or Gideons
