ALICE JEAN FREEMAN, 68 died September 13, 2014 at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. She was born on November 15, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. The daughter of Glen and Opal (Helms) Garrett.
Alice graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. She attended Pittsburg State University and Perdue University before earning a degree at Pima College. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis, IN and Topeka, KS as assistant superintendent. Following her postal career, Alice taught pre-school and worked in daycare. She married Alvin Freeman on October 21, 1984 in Wakarusa, KS. After retiring, they moved to Clay Center in 1992. Alice was a former member of the Village Presbyterian Church in Kansas City and attended St. Paul Episcopal Church in Clay Center. She is preceded in death by her parents
