Alice Vanmatre

Alice Faye VanMatre, 82 died October 4, 2020 in Manhattan, KS.  She was born on July 5, 1938 in Imperial, NE, the daughter of Rollin and Viola (Stuhr) Cahow.  Alice was raised in the Imperial, NE community.  She married Richard Real, they later divorced. Alice then married Clarence VanMatre in 1978.  They made their home in Yuma, CO where Alice worked in a nursing home as a nurse’s aide.  Clarence preceded her in death in 2005.  Alice was a member of the Yuma Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading her bible and watching sports, especially football and baseball.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, David Real; sisters, Loraine "Babe" Barton, Bonnie Redfield and Marilyn Green; brothers, Robert Cahow and Rollin "Buddy" Cahow

3 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren

Sister: Thelma Pursley of NE

Graveside Services:  will be held at a later date at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Crete, NE
