Alice Wickstrum

ALICE WICKSTRUM, 98 died May 24, 2014 at Leonardville Nursing Home in Leonardville, KS. She was born on May 4, 1916 in Green, KS. The daughter of Walter and Lena (Roth) Habluetzel. Alice attended Pleasant View School, attended Green High School for 3 years and graduated from CCCHS in 1934. She married Iver Wickstrum on April 11, 1934. They made their home and farmed in Riley County before moving to Clay Center in 1958. Alice worked at Sears and Fowles Fabric. Iver preceded her in death on June 7, 1995. She was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. Alice was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Neil, a daughter, Helen, 5 brothers and a sister. Survivors: Daughter: Joy Deane and husband Noel Pfizenmaier, Randolph, KS Daughter in Law: Lynda Wickstrum, Manhattan, KS Brother: Arlan and wife Arlene Habluetzel, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 11 Grand, 16 Great-Grand and 5 Great-Great-Grand Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Clay Center United Methodist Church in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Lynch Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery(Riley), Riley County, KS Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 3-8 PM.
