ALLAN I. GILBERT, 98 died December 18, 2013 at Medicalodge in Clay Center, KS. He was born on October 11, 1915 in Clay County, KS. The son of Harry and Ettie (Hahn) Gilbert. Allan was raised in the Hayes Township where he lived and farmed. He married Lillian Alquist in September 1941 and she preceded him on August 14, 2002. He was a former member of the Hayes United Methodist Church and current member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. Hayes Cemetery Board and the B.P.O.E.. He is also preceded by one sister. He is preceded in death by 1 Sister Survivors: Son: Tom and wife Kay Gilbert, Clay Center, Kansas 2 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be Herb Mugler Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2-5 pm Sunday, December 22 atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home Memorials: Medicalodge Activities Fund or Meadowlark Hospice c/o funeral home.
