ALMA MCLAUGHLIN died November 29, 2011 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS at the age of 89. ALMA MCLAUGHLIN was born on January 26, 1922 in Washington County, KS the daughter of Alonzo Long and Etta Odle. Alma attended the Reiter Country School north of Linn. She married John C. Kahrs on July 30, 1939 and he preceded her on September 20, 1971. She then married Charles McLaughlin on April 6, 1974 and he survives of Clyde. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Palmer and the American Legion Auxiliary in Clifton. She is also preceded by her parents, 7 brothers, Ephriam, Arbie, Allen, Albert, Eldon, Lonzo and Orville. 4 Sisters, Zelma Bishop, Bessie Oehmke, Flossie Tegethoff and Marge Burk. Survivors include: Daughter: Donna Anderson, Clifton, KS Son: Darrell and companion Judy Branfort Kahrs, Clifton, KS Daughter: Trudy Reed, Clifton, KS Brother: Charlie Long, Stuttgart, KS Brother: Clarence Long, Linn, KS Grandchildren: 11 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 10:30AM at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Sahl. Burial will be at the St. Paul Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas.
