Alva Thompson

ALVA THOMPSON died February 25, 2011 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 81. He was born on September 12, 1929 in Laramie, WY the son of Charles and Ruth Ann (Bender) Thompson. Alva made his home in Wyoming, California and Arizona before moving to Clay Center in 1992. He worked as a furniture refinisher. Alva was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clay Center. He is preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include: Sister: Rose Thompson, Clay Center, KS Sister: Barbara Cornell, CA Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Matthew Coleman. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 1-4 PM Wednesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Alva Thompson Memorial Fund c/o the funeral home
