Alvin Edward Urban

Alvin Edward Urban died July 4, 2009 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. Alvin was born on February 27, 1922 in Cloud County, Kansas the son of John G. Urban and Mary F. Gunter. He lived and farmed in the Morganville area all of his life. He married LaDonna Modean on January 28, 1947. He was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church, the Clay Center Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark, and a brother. Survivors include: Wife: LaDonna Urban, Clay Center, KS Son: John and wife Ronna Urban, Morganville, KS Son: Jeff and wife Debbie Urban, Alpharetta, GA Daughter: Jody Harbaugh, Hays, KS Grandchildren: 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren Brother: Fred and wife Dorothy Urban, Clay Center, KS Brother: Clarence and wife Marjorie Urban, Morganville, KS Brother: Charles and wife Marlene Urban, Topeka, KS Sister: Betty Bechard, Clifton, KS Sister: Scharlotte and husband Joe Knitter, Clay Center, KS Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Morganville United Methodist Church in Morganville, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gale Lund and Pastor Ron Walker. Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. Respect calls will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 4-5:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the Morganville United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
