Alvin Young, Jr.

Alvin W. Young, Jr., 66, of Andover, died May 9, 2019 at his residence.  He was born October 11, 1952 the son of Alvin W. Sr. and Alvina (Lenz) Young. Alvin grew up and attended school in San Antonio.  He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, Vietnam and at Ft. Riley.  Alvin retired from the Army and continued to work at Ft. Riley in the print shop.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with his friends.   He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sherlie Young.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10:30AM at the Mizpah United Methodist Church in Clay County, Kansas

Minister: Pastor Debra Tompsett-Welch

Burial: Mizpah Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas

Visitation: will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 9:30AM until service time at the Mizpah United Methodist Church.
