Alyce Jean Specht, 87 died November 8, 2019 in Clay Center, KS. She was born on September 3, 1932 in Clay Center, the daughter of Clifford and Winona (Hjelm) Reed. Alyce Jean completed nurses training from Missouri Methodist Hospital in 1953. She married David Specht on December 6, 1953. Alyce Jean worked as a nurse at the Clay County Hospital for 30 years. She was a former member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church, current member of the Fancy Creek United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women’s organization, Sunday school and Bible school teacher and a 4-H leader for 22 years. Alyce Jean was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandsons, Gabriel Tash, Jeremiah and Caleb Specht; sister in law Sandra Reed.

Visitation: Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 3-8pm at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center.
