Amelia Hiesterman

AMELIA HIESTERMAN died November 27, 2011 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 97. She was born on August 16, 1914 in Washington Co, Kansas the daughter of William and Emma (Dammen) Struber. Amelia married Ralph Thompson in December 1934. They farmed in the Fact Community. Ralph preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Alfred Hiesterman on October 28, 1977. They lived in Linn and Amelia worked for the Bull Dog Inn and the Linn Community Nursing Home. Alfred preceded her in death on August 28, 2007. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Linn. She is also preceded in death by 2 sons, Larry and Duaine Thompson, a daughter Darlene Hall and a sister. Survivors include: Daughter: Doris and husband Gale Lund, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Dixie Harris, Wichita, KS Sister: Eilene Meyer, Ft Collins, CO Grandchildren: 10 Grand, 25 Great-grand & 2 Great-Great-Grand Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10:30AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Linn, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Gruoner. Burial will be at the Parallel Cemetery, Washington County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Linn
