Arland "Arlan" Benteman

Arland “Arlan” Benteman, age 94, died on March 18, 2026 in Clay Center, KS. He was born in Winkler, KS to Gust and Lena (Dahm) Benteman on December 3, 1931. Arlan was raised in the Peach Grove community and was a graduate from Randolph High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State College of Agriculture. Arlan married Shirley Burk on January 30, 1955. They made their home and farmed near Clifton since the late 1950’s. Arlan was a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Son: Gary Benteman of Clifton, KS

Son: Glen (Jan) Benteman of Clifton, KS

Daughter: Linda (Steve) Hawkins of IL

Grandchildren: Logan (Krystal) Benteman, Ryan (Ashley) Benteman, Brishen Hawkins, and McKinley Hawkins

Memorial Services: 10:30 AM Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton, KS

Burial: Pleasant View Cemetery, Vining, Kansas. Belleville Masonic Lodge #129 will perform Masonic Rites at the graveside

Visitation: 4-7 PM Wednesday, with family greeting from 5-7 PM, March 25, 2026 at the Faith United Presbyterian Church in Clifton

Memorials: Contributions can be made to the Clifton Ambulance or Clifton Fire Department c/o the funeral home
