Audrey Doberer

Audrey Doberer, 81, died October 17, 2015 at her residence in Clay Center, Kansas . She was born on May 7, 1934 in Clay Center, KS. The daughter of Harry and Ruth (Baxter) Bauer. Audrey grew up in the Broughton Community and attended country schools. She graduated from CCCHS in 1954. Audrey graduated from Brown Mackie in Salina with a business degree and then worked for McDonalds as a bookkeeper. Audrey married Lyle Doberer on November 4, 1956 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1986. She was a member of the Clay Center First Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the Clay Center American Legion Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by parents, twin infant daughters, Katherine and Kristine, son, Keith, and two sisters, Gloria Holtz and Nelda Woodburn. Survivors: Daughter: Kim and husband, Von Kramer Daughter: Kelly Coble Son: Kevin Doberer Six grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild Sister: Francis Crighton Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 3-7PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church or to the Clay Center Zoo and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
