Avis Miller

AVIS MILLER died August 18, 2011 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 93. She was born on July 12, 1918 in Miltonvale Kansas, the daughter of Seth and Nettie (Dufrain) Smith. Avis was raised in Miltonvale and graduated from Miltonvale Rural High School in 1936. She married Ralph Miller in 1937. Avis worked for several grocery stores, at the grade school lunch room for 11 year and at the Miltonvale Cafe. Ralph preceded her in death hon June 17, 1971. She is also preceded in death by two sons, James and Merton, 2 brothers, a sister and 2 infant great-grand daughters Survivors include: Grandchildren: 7 Grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the Miltonvale Cemetery in Miltonvale, Kansas. Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 11AM - 1 PM at Phelps Funeral Home Memorials can be made to Tootleville Park Fund
