Barbara Puckett

BARBARA J. PUCKETT died November 3, 2009 at Overland Park Medical Center, Overland Park, KS at the age of 64. She was born on August 23, 1945 in Clay Center, Kansas the daughter of Homer Rundle and Julia White. She was raised in Clay County, Kansas and graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1963. She attended and graduated from the University of Kansas with a music degree. She taught piano professionally for over 30 years as well as served on the staff of the University of Kansas Theater Department and Music Department as Professional Piano Accompanist. She also was an accompianst for the New Theatre Restaurant and the Kansas City Lyric Opera Company in Kansas City. Survivors include: Husband: George Puckett, Wichita, KS Daughter: Michelle and husband Mike Christ, Overland Park, KS Son: Sean and wife Andra Puckett, Wichita, KS Grandchildren: 2 grandchildren Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Gary M. Christ. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 from 10:00 until 1:00 at the funeral home Memorials can be made to University of Kansas College of Theater c/o funeral home Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at Swarthout Hall on the University of Kansas campus
