Barbara Stuenkel

BARBARA ANN STUENKEL died September 25, 2012 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, KS at the age of 55. She was born on August 30, 1957 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Erna (Hesterberg) Stuenkel. Barbara was raised in rural Palmer. She attended Linn Elementary School, Linn Lutheran School and graduated from Linn High School in 1975. Barbara graduated from Beloit Nurses Training and worked as an LPN in Beloit, Salina and Manhattan. Due to health problems, she left healthcare and worked as a volunteer teacher's aide in Manhattan and Holton. Barbara was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Daryl and Kevin. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gene Holtorf. Burial will be at the St. John Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, noon until service time at the church Memorials can be made to St John Lutheran Church
