Becky Ballard

Becky Ballard, 80 died March 14, 2019 in Clay Center, KS.  She was born on February 9, 1939 in Bowie County, TX, the daughter of J.D. and Juanita (Haddock) Rogers. Becky was raised in Texas and married Orin Ballard on January 16, 1959. She was a housewife in Monahans, Texas before moving to Clay Center. After Orin and Becky moved to Clay Center, she worked for Clay County Head Start. Becky was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clay Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and 1 great great granddaughter.

Granny also known as Becky, was most definitely one of a kind. Granny loved with her whole heart. She took everyone under her wing, even if you weren’t blood related, and made them feel like family. She was “Granny” to everyone who knew her. She was the best Granny we could have ever hoped for. Granny loved playing games of all kinds. She would throw down with a game of dominoes or cards at any time, even up to her final weeks. Granny loved to cook for her family. She would cook whatever the grandkids wanted no matter what time it was. Granny was married to the love of her life for 60 years. She was the Dallas Cowboys loudest cheerleader. Granny loved the Lord with all her heart and served him until the very end.

Funeral Services: Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Clay Center Christian Church in Clay Center, KS
