Bernice Avery

BERNICE MARIE AVERY died July 28, 2010 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 79. She was born on November 15, 1930 in Clay County, Kansas the daughter of Albert and Josephine (Gonser) Liby . Bernice was raised in Clay County, attended school in Morganville and graduated from Morganville High School in 1948. She married Wayne Avery on July 23, 1949. They made their home in Morganvliie. Wayne preceded her in death on August 3, 1995. She is also preceded by a son, Wayne and 2 infant daughters. Survivors include: Son: Donald and wife Brenda Avery, Manhattan, KS Son: Douglas Avery, Morganville, KS Daughter: Rita and husband Sam Tiemeyer, Morganville, KS Brother: Dean and wife Louise Liby, Clay Center, KS Sister: Carolyn Bounds, Concordia, KS Daughter In-Law: Robin Avery Grandchildren: 17 Grand & 23 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Lincoln Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Morganville Library c/o the funeral home
