Bernice Chaput

BERNICE B. CHAPUT, 94 died May 30, 2014 at in St. Luke’s Hospital in Mariom, KS. She was born on February 13, 1920 in Clyde, KS. The daughter of Frank and Minnie (Chartier) Begnoche. Bernice was raised in Cloud County and attended Tabor Grade School. She married Alcid Chaput on February 21, 1939. They farmed in the Miltonvale and Aurora communities before moving to Junction City in 1961. They later made their home in Lecompton, Desoto and Topeka. Alcid preceded her in death on May 29, 1995. Bernice moved to Marion in 1997. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Marion. She is preceded in death by son, Terry, brother, Lyle Begnoche, sister Joyce Girand and her parents Survivors: Son: Gary and wife, Karen Chaput, Marion, Kansas Daughter: Darlene Crawford, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Jean Boles, Lubbock, TX 11 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:30AM at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be Larry Grennan Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 3-7PM. The Rosary will be recited at 7PM, both at the funeral home Memorials: St. Luke's Hospital and Living Center c/o the funeral home
