Betty Runn

BETTY RUNN died July 4, 2007 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 79. Betty was born on November 11, 1927 in Elk Falls, KS the daughter of Paul Brill and Victoria Christianson. Betty grew up in Elk Falls and graduated from Elk Falls High School. She worked for Swift and Company in Clay Center. Betty married Arnold Runn on March 24, 1951. The couple moved to Wichita where she began working for General Motors. They later moved to Omaha and then moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she continued working for General Motors, retiring after thirty years. The couple moved back to Clay Center in 1986. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clay Center and the Library Club. Betty and Arnold delivered meals for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted; and sister, Marjorie. Survivors include: Husband: Arnold Runn, Clay Center, KS Son: Gary and his wife, Carrie Runn, Florence, Italy Grandchildren: Two Grandchildren Brother: Hayward Brill, Ottawa, KS Sister: Virginia Caldwell, CA Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brian High. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or to the First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
