WILHELMINA “BILLIE” MAYER, 97 died August 19, 2015 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. She was born on September 16, 1917 in Clifton, KS, the daughter of William and Amelia (Leiszler) Mayer. Billie was raised in the Riverdale area near Clifton. She graduated from Clifton High School in 1935. Billie served in the US Navy during WWII. Following the war, she worked for the Corps of Engineers in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Korea, until her retirement in 1978. She made her home in Albuquerque, NM before returning to Kansas in 1997. Billie was an avid golfer and bridge player. She enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching and crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the St Mary’s Catholic Church in Clifton, KS

Inurnment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clifton, KS
