BILLIE ROHDE, 94 died March 23, 2014 at her residence in Clay Center, Kansas . She was born on May 16, 1919 in Burlington, IL., the daughter of Warren and Hattie (Fletcher) Griffith.
Billie grew up in Galesburg, IL and graduated from Galesburg Senior High in 1937. She attended Brown Mackie College and got her Associate's Degree in bookkeeping. She worked at her father's diner where she met Pete Young and they were married in 1941. They moved to Morganville to work on Young's farm. She worked at Key Feeds for many years. Pete preceded Billie in death in 1977. Billie graduated from Crum's Beauty College and was co-owner of B&K Crimpers in Clay Center and later on worked as a CNA in home care. She married Jessie Haynes in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Billie then married Bernard "Barney" Rohde in 1989 and he survives of the home. She is also preceded in death by her parents and son, James young in 1978.

Husband: Bernard "Barney" Rohde, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Kellie Thomas, Omaha, NE Grandchildren: Tammy Young, Jamee Young, Billie and husband Aaron Rosenboom, and Stacie and husband Jeb Chillson. Great Grandchildren: Jericho Rosenboom, Jaylee Chillson, Kaden Chillson, and Hunter Chillson.Many step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00AM at the St Paul's Episcopal Church in Clay Center, KS.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Lavonne Seifert and Rev. Susan Sawyer.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 3-8PM atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
