Bonnie Carlson

BONNIE CARLSON died December 6, 2011 at Bethany Home, Lindsborg, KS at the age of 84. She was born on May 14, 1927 in Little Blue Township, Washington County, Kansas the daughter of Fred and Eunice (Wilkinson) Savage. Bonnie attended Normal School training and taught school in Washington County. She married Wayne Carlson on December 2, 1950 and he preceded her on February 10, 1987. She worked as a telephone operator, for the Clay County Treasurer’s Office, for the Records Department at the Clay County Hospital and was a Hospice Volunteer. She was a member of the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church and attended Christ our Savior Church in Louisburg. She is also preceded by 1 sister and 3 brothers. Survivors include: Son: Robert and wife Karen Carlson, Lindsborg, KS Son: James and wife Carol Carlson, Bellevue, NE Son: Thomas and wife Patricia Carlson, Dallas, TX Son: William and wife Jill Carlson, Louisburg, KS 17 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren Sister: Betty Long, Linn, KS Brother: Dean Savage, Barnes, KS Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church in Clay County, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Sahl and Pastor Loren Mai. Burial will be at the Swedesburg First Lutheran Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8 from 3-8pm with family greeting friends from 5-7 at the funeral home.
