BONNIE GIBBS-STEFFEN died November 8, 2011 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 89. Bonnie was born on October 6, 1922 in Industry, Kansas the daughter of Jacob and Priscilla (Nuss) Gibbs. Bonnie grew up in the Industry, Kansas area and attended school in Industry. She worked at Gibbs Groceries in Industry and farmed in the Industry area most of her life before moving to Clay Center in 2005. She married Ivan Steffen on September 7, 1971 and he preceded her on November 28, 2000. She was a member of the Bethany Church in Dickinson County, Kansas. She is also preceded by 3 brothers, 1 sister and 1 son-in-law. Survivors include: Daughter: Bonnie Kaye Maloy, Chandler, AZ Granddaughter: Dana Coberly, Clay Center, KS Granddaughter: Shari Kelso, Gilbert , AZ Grandson: Corbin Hines, Tempe, AZ 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Cheryl Mickey and Pastor Ken Stout. Burial will be at the Greenridge Cemetery, Dickinson County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 3-8pm with family greeting friends from 3:30-5pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society c/o funeral home.
