Bonnie Slingsby

Bonnie L. Slingsby 93 died February 24, 2023, in Clay Center, KS.  She was born on January 18, 1930, in Manchester, Kansas the daughter Benjamin and Mabel (Kissling) Oard.  Bonnie grew up on a farm in the Mayfield community near Longford, KS.  She was a graduate of Longford Rural High School.  Bonnie worked as a clerk at ASC Conservation Office after high school.  She married Duane Slingsby on July 28, 1949.   Bonnie worked as a secretary for Duane’s insurance business for many years.  Duane preceded her in death on March 7, 2022.  Bonnie was a member of the United Methodist Church.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Daughter: Deborah and husband David Abner of Manhattan, KS

Son: Walter and the late Carol Slingsby of Clay Center, KS

Son: Michael and wife Lori Slingsby of Clay Center, KS

10 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren

Funeral Services: 10:30AM Friday, March 3, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, KS.  The service will live stream shortly before 1030 AM at the following link. https://www.facebook.com/nsrfuneralhome

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 4-7 PM Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.  A rosary will be recited at 7 PM
