Carolyn Alquist

CAROLYN ALQUIST, 72 died February 25, 2016 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. She was born on August 27, 1943 in Concordia, KS, the daughter of L.C. and Doris (Lyon) Blackburn. Carolyn graduated from Clyde High School. She married Danial Alquist on November 17, 1962. Carolyn worked for TWA for over three years while living in Chicago. Later they made their home in Kansas City and Manhattan where she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Library Board, both of Clifton. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents and great-grandson. Survivors: Son: Mike and wife Anna Alquist, Concordia, KS Daughter: Kristin Alquist, Concordia, KS Daughter Trish and husband Paul James, Burleson, TX 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great-granddaughters Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton, KS Officiating the service will be Pastor FrankLyn Schroeder Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Vining, KS Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Turner Funeral Chapel Memorials: Clifton Library
