Carroll Duwayne Gerardy

CARROLL DUWAYNE GERARDY died June 1, 2010 at St. Francis Hosptial, Topeka, KS at the age of 74. Carroll was born on January 22, 1936 in Green, Kansas the son of Charles Gerardy and Irene Marshall. He graduated from Carr Central High School in Vicksburg, MS. He served in the Air Force from 1954-1957 and later moved to California. He married Gloria Easter on July 31, 1965. He attended the Northrup School of Technology. Carroll worked for Pacific Airmotive in Burbank, CA for 24 years and he was a truck driver in California and Kansas for 18 years. The couple moved to Clay Center in February of 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Debra. Survivors include: Wife: Gloria Gerardy, Clay Center, KS Sister: Charlene and her husband, Hubert Hughes, Anna, TX Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bruce Marshall. Inurnment will be at a later date in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM Friday, June 4, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Clay County Hospital Foundation in care of the funeral home.
