CECIL D. GRIDLEY, 65 died January 6, 2016 at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. He was born on March 19, 1950 in Topeka, KS, the son of Forrest and Elnora (Cook) Gridley. Cecil was raised in Missouri before moving to Phoenix, AZ at age 14. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war. Following the war, Cecil made his home in Kansas, Texas, California and Arizona. He married Sharon Nyman on January 17, 1986. They moved to rural Clifton in 1995. Cecil was currently working as a truck driver for Lippert Grain. Cecil was serving as interim pastor at the Church of the Brethren in Washington, KS. He enjoyed gardening, animals, church and visiting with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Clay Center United Methodist Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Lynch and Pastor Rob Lawler
Burial will be in the Green Cemetery, Green , KS
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 3-8PM atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
