Cerena Dieffenbaugh

CERENA DIEFFENBAUGH died February 6, 2011 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 95. She was born on July 13, 1915 in Industry, Kansas the daughter of Elihue and Nelie (Gibbs) Robinette. Cerena was raised in the Wakefield Community and graduated from CCCHS. She married Wilfred DeMarteau in 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Paul Dieffenbaugh on August 11, 1979 and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1995. She raised dogs in Clay Center. Cerena was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church and VFW Auxiliary. She is also preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include: Step-Daughter: Barbara Dodd, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Jean and husband Ralph Dawson, Belleville, KS Step-Son: Marvin and wife Donna Dieffenbaugh, Olathe, KS Daughter: Judy and husband Ted Feltman, Twin Falls , ID Grandchildren: 1 Grand, 3 Step-grand, 1 Great-grand 3 Step-great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doug Wallace. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Christian Church or Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
