Charles Partridge

CHARLES PARTRIDGE died September 2, 2011 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka, KS at the age of 86. Charles was born on February 10, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Charles and Lillian (Love) Partridge. Charlie was raised in the Kansas City area and moved to Clay Center with his grandmother in 1942. He graduated from CCCHS in 1943 and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a gunner on B-24's stationed in Italy. Charlie married Leanna Donley on September 29, 1946. He worked for Northern Natural Gas for 35 years. Charlie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Optomist Club, and the American Legion all of Clay Center. Survivors include: Wife: Leanna Partridge, Clay Center, KS Son: Chuck and his wife, Sue Partridge, Wamego, KS Son: Mike Partridge and his companion, Roseann Walker , Tulsa, OK Grandchildren: 4 granddaughters and 7 great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, , Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to the Clay Center Presbyterian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
