Chellan Kopfer

CHELLAN KOPFER died January 26, 2007 at Enterprise Estates Nursing Center, Enterprise, KS at the age of 82. CHELLAN KOPFERwas born on September 19, 1924 in Oak Hill, Kansas the son of Frank Kopfer and Sarah Young. He graduated from Longford High School. He married Loretta Mosberg on March 16, 1956. They made their home and farmed near Longford. He retired from farming in 1989, they moved to Augusta in 1993 and then to Salina in 1996. Loretta preceded him in death on July 17, 2000. He was a member of the Oak Hill Presyberian Church, the Oakland Township board, Clay County Hospital Board and 4-H leader. He is also preceded by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include: Son: Kellan Michelle Kopfer, Oak Hill, KS Son: Kelly and wife Janene Kopfer, Derby, KS Daughter: Lori and husband William Brown, Abilene, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Pastor James Byers. Burial will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church or Clay County Hospital Foundation
