Claude Finson

CLAUDE FINSON died October 17, 2013 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. He was born on August 11, 1926 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Glen Finson and Irene Fleischer. Claude graduated from Seaman High School and Washburn University. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Claude married Nora Proctor on April 1, 1949. He worked as an insurance agent. They moved to Clay Center in 1970. Claude was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, the Optimist Club in Topeka and Clay Center, American Legion and V.F.W. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors include: Wife: Nora Finson, Clay Center, KS Son: Michael and wife Terri Finson, Topeka, KS Son: Kevin and wife Chris Finson, Washington , IL Son: Brad Finson, Norman, OK Daughter: Debra and husband Ed Weidman, Bonafay, FL 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Inurnment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice or First Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home.
