CLAUDINE DOROTHY CARLSON died December 2, 2009 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 92. She was born on May 16, 1917 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Claud Scripter and Emma Blecther. She married Raymond R. Calrson on June 10, 1937 and he preceded her on December 24, 1985. They lived and farmed in the Ladysmith Community in Clay County until 1975 when they moved to Clay Center. She worked at Medical Lodge from 1970-1975. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, Altar Guild and Friendship Circle member and volunteered in the church office. She was active in the community, delivering meals on wheels and served at the Light House for Christ. She is also preceded by a brother, Clifford and a sister, Eva Henry. Survivors include: Son: Robert and wife Sharil Carlson, Clay Center, KS Son: Arlen and wife Sherry Carlson, Lake Ozark, MO Son: Douglas and wife Penny Carlson, Topeka, KS Daughter: Eleanor and husband Bill Hiskey, Topeka, KS Sister: Marie Franson, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4 from 3-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the church or Meadowlark Hospice c/o funeral home.
