Colby Barber 25 died June 13, 2020. He was born on December 2, 1994, the son of Paul Barber and Jannell Carlson. Colby was raised in the Clay Center and Wakefield communities. He attended CCCHS and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. Colby worked for his grandfather at Carlson Heating and Air before attending Pinnacle Institute for wind turbine technology. He worked for a short time with wind turbines in Dodge City. Colby also worked as a truck driver for Crazy Horse Trucking, as a farm hand for several Clay County farmers and an electrician at Heineken Electric. He was currently employed at File Farms in Beloit. In his free time, Colby loved football, all things agriculture, K-State sports and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Betty Carlson.
