CYRIL P. COOKSON died August 12, 2007 at Pinnacle Park Nursing and Rehab, Salina, KS at the age of 72. CYRIL P. COOKSON was born on August 22, 1934 in Wakefield Kansas, the son of Cyril R. Cookson and Frances Marie Schiltz. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War serving on the USS WASP. He worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at the Sunrise Half-way house in Higginsville, MO. He was a member of the VFW adn American Legion in Salina. Survivors include: Son: William and wife Kimberly Cookson, Salina, KS Son: Robert Cookson, Salina, KS Son: Charles and wife Mary Cookson, Salina, KS Daughter: Patricia Colton, Salina, KS Son: Eric Cookson, Greely, CO Son: Kevin Cookson Son: Anthony Cookson Sister: Terri and husband Peyton Hodge, Louisville, KY Grandchildren: 13 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor John Curtis. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
