Daisy Carlson

DAISY J. CARLSON died March 27, 2009 at her residence in Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. She was born on June 4, 1921 in Clifton Kansas, the daughter of Carl Erik Carlson and Augusta Christine Jonsson. She grew up in rural Clifton Ks and Graduated from CCCHS 1941. She taught in country schools for 2 years. Daisy then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka KS for 20 years and the Universal Underwriters Group in Kansas City until she retired in 1985 and moved to Clay Center. She was a member of the Clay Center Evangelical Covenant Church and a volunteer at Apollo Towers in Clay Center. She is preceded by her parents, 2 sister, Viola and Linnea and 2 brothers, Allen and Harry. Survivors include: Sister: Astrid Carlson, Stanton, IA Brother: Evert Dean Carslon, Loveland, CO Nephew: Many nieces and nephews Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Grant Clay. Burial will be at the Brantford Evangelical Covenant, Clifton, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31 from 4-8pm at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeal Home Memorials can be made to Daisy Carlson memorial fund c/o Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
