Dale Burger, 74, died Thursday, November 06, 2014. He was born on May 28, 1940, at the family farm south of Clay Center, Kansas, to Karl and Stella (Jacobs) Burger.
Dale graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1958. He married Buenta Lea Myers on December 29, 1961. They were married for almost 53 years.
Dale served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Thereafter, he was a farmer and stockman. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and also a member of the Kansas Livestock Association. He served on the Clay County Farmer’s Union Board of Directors.
In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his children,
Tamara (Burger) Rodriguez and husband Rick of Waddell, Arizona;
Teddi (Burger) Ward and husband Dale of Wichita, Kansas;
Luke Burger and wife Alison of Spokane, Washington.

Mabel Bunday of Hamel, Minnesota
Three brothers,
Ed Burger and wife Rhoda of Austin, Minnesota
Bill Burger and wife Elna of Palmer, Kansas
Leroy Burger of Delray Beach, Florida.
Five grandchildren, Alexandra Burger of Tualitin, Oregon; Kristin Tourek and Corey Tourek of Phoenix, Arizona; Caleb Burger of Bozeman, Montana; and Kaden Quidwai, of Spokane, Washington.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Erna Schultze and Elsie Hiesterman; and two brothers, Herman Burger and Clarence Burger.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clay Center, Kansas, with Rev. Paul Tessaro and Rev. Joel Hiesterman officiating.
Respect calls will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
