Daniel E. Witters

DANIEL E. WITTERS died April 21, 2009 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS at the age of 70. DANIEL E. WITTERS was born on December 30, 1938 in Salina Kansas, the son of Daniel W. Witters and Helen Ruby Leonard. Dan graduated from Salian High School in 1957 and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University. He married Coni Zook on December 20, 1959. They moved to Clay Center in 1971. He worked as an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance until retiring in 2008. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Clay Center Rotary Club and the B.P.O.E. all of Clay Center. He is preceded by a son, Jeremy, father, step-father and step-brother. Survivors include: Wife: Coni Witters, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Jill and husband Jeff Metcalf, McPherson, KS Son: Mark and wife Kim Witters, Lenexa, KS Mother: Helen Loy, Salina, KS Brother: Lynn and wife Tere Witters, Seneca, KS Sister: Elaine Pool, Shawnee Mission, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 2-5pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to United Methodist Church, Clay County Hospital Foundation or the Kansas Weslyan University c/o funeral home.
