David Weir

DAVID LEE WEIR died October 19, 2013 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 74. David was born on October 12, 1939 in Wakefield Kansas, the son of Walter F. and Leona Pearl (Bryant) Weir. He served six years in the military and also worked for Ernest and Spencer for 30 years as a Millwright. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jaxon Lee Weir. Survivors include: Daughter: Sandy Son: Jeffery Daughter: Bridgette Son: Kenneth Son: David, Jr. and wife Brenda Weir Daughter: Vanessa Weir Grandchildren: Christy, Samantha, Cameron, Nicole and Peyton Sister: Roberta Hoerner, Wakefield, KS Sister: Lois Jean Leonard, Junction City, KS Brother: Roger and wife Joyce Weir, Wichita, KS Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Wakefield Funeral Home in Wakefield, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Todd Britt. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Highland Cemetery, Wakefield, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Wakefield Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to David Weir memorial fund to be designated by the family and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
