Della Petterson

DELLA MARGARET PETTERSON died July 18, 2013 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 92. She was born on June 30, 1921 in Clifton, Kansas the daughter of Phillip and Hulda (Westling) Hendrickson. Della was raised in the Branford community. She married Theodore Kenneth Petterson and he preceded her in death. They moved to Omaha, NE after their marriage and raised their family. Della returned to Kansas in 1978. She was a member of the Clyde VFW Auxiliary and the Clifton Horse Club. She was also preceded by a granddaughter Christine Fleming. Survivors include: Daughter: Elizabeth and husband Dennis Fleming, Omaha, NE Daughter: Gwynetha Petterson, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Sharon and husband Don Foster, Springfield, MO Son: Jarry and wife Judy Petterson, Ceresco, NE Son: David Petterson, Clay Center, KS Son: Vernon and wife Patricia Petterson, Beloit, KS Son: Rick and wife Diane Sutcliffe, Hays, KS Son: Bruce Petterson, Clay Center, KS Sister: Alvena Swenson, Clifton, KS 20 Grandchildren and many great-Grandchildren Many nieces and nephews Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Susan Sawyer. Burial will be at the Garfield Center Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20th from 9:00 to Noon at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Della Petterson Memorial Fund to be designated later by the family
