DELMER WILLIAM PETERSON died May 19, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 88. He was born on April 12, 1920 in Rural Clifton, KS the son of Peter Peterson and Edith Graves. He attended Pleasant Peak School and graduated from Clifton High School in 1940. He married Maxine Smith on May 12, 1950 in rural Palmer. He farmed with his father in the Clifton area until 1956 when they moved to the Fact Community. They moved to Clay Center in 1997. He was a member of Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton. Survivors include: Wife: Maxine Peterson, Clay Center, KS Brother: Laverne and wife Mary Peterson, Wamego, KS Brother: Glemo and wige Margaret Peterson, Tacoma, WA Brother: Marlin and wife Brenda Peterson, Clay Center, KS Sister: Marcine and husband Herbert Johnson, Concordia, KS Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Clay Center Presbyterian Manor c/o the funeral home
