Dixie Crawford

Dixie A. Crawford, 84, died May 2, 2020 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, Kansas.  She was born on March 21, 1936 in Clifton, the daughter of Merle and Esther (Peterson) Black.  Dixie grew up in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1953.    She attended stewardess school in Omaha.  Dixie married Veryl Crawford on July 14, 1961.  She worked as a waitress for Big T’s Café, the Cardinal Café and Marty’s Club.  Dixie was a member of the First Christian Church in Clifton and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She is preceded in death by parents; son, Bryce Crawford and 3 brothers, Eldon, Dean and Harlan Black.

Son: Craig Taylor, Clifton, Kansas

Daughter: Lori and husband, Joe Carney, Killeen, TX

5 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren

Graveside Memorial Services: will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Vining, Kansas.

Minister: Pastor Roxie Baer

Visitation: will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Faith United Church Presbyterian, Clifton, Kansas.
