Don Nelson

DON EDWARD NELSON died December 10, 2009 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 83. He was born on December 15, 1925 in Rockford, IL the son of Nels Nelson and Murtle. He married JoAnn Chase on September 6, 1960, she survives of the home. He was a truck driver in Illinois until 1976 when they moved to Miltonvale. He worked for the Cloud County Highway for 15 years. In 1983 they moved to Aurora. He is preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include: Wife: JoAnn Nelson, Minneapolis, KS Son: Scott Nelson, Aurora, KS Brother: Jim Nelson, Belvidere, IL Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Oakland Union Cemetery in Cloud County, Kansas. Burial will be at the Oakland Union, Cloud County, KS. Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale Memorials can be made to Organization of the donor's choice
