Donald Bechard

DONALD J BECHARD, 90 died April 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1926 in Clifton, KS. The son of Edmond and Albertine (Sorell) Bechard. Donald was raised in the Clifton community and graduated from Morganville High School in 1944. He served in the US Army during WWII. Donald married Marcella Tiemeyer on October 11, 1958. He worked for Northern Natural Gas for seven years and then farmed the rest of his life. Marcella preceded him in death on August 12, 2009. Don was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Clifton American Legion and Clay Center VFW. He is preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors: Son: Donald and wife Mary Bechard, Belleville, KS Son: Dale and wife Meredith Bechard, Clifton, KS Son: Barry and wife Theresa Bechard, Clifton, KS Sister: WilmaJean Lyons, Salina, KS Sister: JoAnne Kempton, Clifton, KS Sister: Arlene McNeill, Montana Brother: LaVerne Bechard, Salina, KS 7 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 1:30pm at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be The Rev. Randall Weber Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 3-7pm with Rosary at 7 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home Memorials: the church or Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
