Donald Bobzien, Jr.

Donald Bobzien, age 71 of Wakefield passed away on August 7th, 2016 at his residence, after battling cancer. Don was born May 10, 1945 the eldest son of Don and Genevieve (Jansen) Bobzien. His family settled in Hinton, Iowa where he graduated from high school. Don Received an MA Degree from University of South Dakota and MS Degree from Kansas State University. He worked in the fields of special and general education and law enforcement before retiring. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his father, Don Bobzien Sr, one brother, Rodney Bobzien, Wife Diane (Wolff) Bobzien, Daughter, Cheryl (Bobzien) Dibben. Numerous brothers and sisters in laws, nieces and nephews. Graveside Services: Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:30AM at the Highland Cemetery in Wakefield, KS. Visitation: Thursday August 11, 2016 from 3-7PM with the Rosary being recited at 7PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, KS. Memorial Contributions to be made to Meadow Lark Hospice,or Don Bobzien memorial fund.
