Donald Doberer

DONALD FREDERICK DOBERER died May 1, 2011 at Via Christi Medical Center , Wichita, KS at the age of 74. He was born on November 8, 1936 in Clay Cennter, Kansas the Son of Warren H. Doberer and Elsie Swenson. Don was raised north of Clay Center in Garfield Township. He graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1954. He married Nancy Jo King on March 6, 1955 and she survives of the home. He farmed in the Garfield Township area until moving to Clay Center in 1999. He was a member of the Swedsburg 1st Lutheran Church, former member of the board of directors of the ASCS and the CO-OP board of directors. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors include: Wife: Nancy Jo Doberer, Clay Center, KS Son: Mark H. and wife Jessica Doberer, Hutchinson, KS Daughter: Janet and husband Mark A. Silhan, Solomon, KS Son: Scott D. and wife Sara Doberer, Wichita, KS Grandchildren: 4 grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Swedsburg 1st Lutheral Church in Clay County, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Sahl. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4th from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Swedsburg 1st Lutheran Church or the American Heart Assoc. in care of the funeral home
